Embedded microcontroller cores, embedded memories, Examples of embedded systems. Architecture for embedded system, High performance processors – strong ARM processors, programming, interrupt structure, I/O architecture, Technological aspects of embedded systems: interfacing between analog and digital blocks, signal conditioning, Digital signal processing, Sub-system interfacing, interfacing with external systems. Software aspects of embedded systems: real time programming languages and operating systems for embedded systems – RTOS requirements, kernel types, scheduling, context switching, latency, inter-task communication and synchronization, Case studies
