Course Objectives:

  • To introduce Electronics and Communication Engineering in a nutshell.
  • To explain the role of Electronics and Communication Engineering in all other engineering disciplines.
  • To explain the basic building blocks of digital and analog electronic circuits.

Course Outcomes:

At the end of the course, the student must be able to
  • Design simple combinational and sequential circuits.
  • Analyze the given RC and RL circuits.
  • Design simple Diode circuits like rectifiers and clipping circuits.
  • Design circuits using ideal opamp to perform mathematical operations on analog signals.
  • appreciate the importance of some of the analog systems such as ADC, DAC, Power Supplies.
  • Appreciate the need for modulation and demodulation in communication systems.
