Review of Basic Transmission Line Theory, Planar Transmission Lines Microwave Network Analysis - Microwave network representation, Impedance Matching Techniques, Binomial and Chebyshev approximations, Basic Passive Components, Analysis and design of stripline/ microstrip components- Equivalent circuit and Characteristics, Basic series and shunt switches in microstrip; SPST and SPDT switches, Switched line, branch line coupled and loaded line phase shifters in microstrip. Applications in phased arrays. MIC Filters, ExamplesRealization of lumped elements and filters in MMIC, Realization of planar transmission lines and filters in MEMS.
