  • PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs):

Consistent with the stated mission of the Institute and the Department, the Educational objectives of the Post-Graduate Program in VLSI Design describe accomplishments that graduates are expected to attain within five years after graduation. Graduates will have applied their expertise to contemporary problem solving, be engaged professionally, have continued to learn and adapt, and have contributed to their organizations through leadership and teamwork. The PEOs are revised in 2019 and the faculty of the department of E&C Engineering strives to educate and train the students in a manner that will enable the graduates to:

PEO1:  Pursue a successful career in the field of VLSI Design and related fields and contribute to profession in Industry /Research/ Academia.

PEO2:  Continuously learn, engage and update themselves in technical areas in the relevant fields, carryout independent research and  handle constantly evolving multidisciplinary technological challenges. 

PEO3: Demonstrate effective communication skills and leadership qualities with ethical attitudes in broad societal context while working in a multi/inter disciplinary setting. 

  • PROGRAMME OUTCOMES:

    Based on the PEOs, we have defined POs necessary for their fulfillment.  Programme assessment is used to ensure that these outcomes are achieved. The POs for VLSI Design programme are revised in 2019 as per the NBA guidelines.  By the end of the programme, the graduates will  acquire :

PO1: An ability to independently carry out research/investigation and development work to solve practical problems. 
 
PO2: An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document.
 
PO3: An ability to demonstrate a degree of mastery in VLSI Design.  
 
PO4: An ability to apply appropriate techniques and modern engineering tools in the design and implementation in the area of VLSI Design.
 
PO5: An ability to apply VLSI engineering and technology principles in multi-disciplinary environment through their team playing and self learning capabilities.

The faculty of the department of E&C Engineering strives to educate and train the students in a manner that will enable the graduates to:

PEO1: To be empowered to pursue a successful professional career in the field of Communication Engineering and Networks and contribute to the profession in Industry / Research and Development / Academia / Consulting / Policy making / Government service and other professional vocation.
 
PEO2: To inculcate an attitude in pursuing state-of-the-art research in the broad areas of Communication and Networks.
